Block soap is often a more ecological option than liquid soap. It’s a concentrated form, which means it takes up less space in transportation, and instead of wasteful plastic, it can simply be packaged in paper. Personally, I love using L’occitane’s Shea Butter soap but I hate how the bar of soap always ends up sitting in a puddle of murky water, accumulating bacteria when more than one person uses it. This senior graduation project from Nathalie Stampfli solves these problems. The dispensers turn block soap into beautiful little flakes that fall into your hand and easily dissolve with water. A nifty soap dispenser that also acts as a room deodorizer as the freshly grated soap perfumes the air.

Simple inventions that makes choosing sustainable options more enjoyable make me :D
